About Me

I have written a number of books over the years and PROPOFOL is the first one to make it into print.

PROPOFOL is exciting and fun and I hope you enjoy it.

My earlier efforts are preserved on sheets of paper and hidden somewhere in my basement or on floppy disks that no one could ever decipher.

I admire a multitude of writers but my special favorites are suspense and mystery writers. I read Raymond Chandler as a young man and I couldn’t believe how impactful and real his writing was. He made Los Angeles of the 30’s and 40’s come alive in print.

Contemporary authors like Michael Crichton, John Grisham and Stephen King are among the best the world has ever seen.

A special mentor for me was John D MacDonald who wrote about Florida based private detective Travis McGee and his dear friend Myers. He blended suspense and excitement with a deep concern about love and life and ethics and life’s purpose.

He was one of the first writers to express deep concern about the irresponsible neglect of our beautiful planet. JD MacDonald sold over 70 million copies of his novels.

I think I have one good novel left unwritten inside me –it will be about the John Kennedy assassination – a subject that intrigues me to my core.

Mark Twain said:

“Write without pay until someone offers pay. If nobody offers within three years, the candidate may look upon this as a sign that sawing wood is what he was intended for.”

So I have about 18 months to go.
